Alan Turing University

This university has named after Alan Turing (Alan Mathison Turing), the pioneering mathematician, computer scientist, logician, cryptanalyst, philosopher, code-breaker, theoretical biologist, and icon of the 20th Century. Turing was highly influential in developing theoretical computer science, providing a formalization of the concepts of algorithm and computation with the Turing machine, which can be considered a model of a general-purpose computer. Turing is widely known to be the father of theoretical computer science and artificial intelligence.
